Rodiny s malými dětmi United States of America, 1. května 2013	Good location, quiet resort Good location, quiet, and comfortable room 7,3 We stayed at the hotel for one night while we visited the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary. It was a 15 minute walk to sanctuary which made it easy to visit for the morning and afternoon feedings. We traveled with our two young boys and were able to book a room with an extra bed. The cabins are comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good but the selection is limited. The resort was very quiet and relaxing. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Evening meals were great. 6,3 rooms are quite small which is ok, but the bathroom in the room we stayed in the first night was not acceptable. too small and when you had a shower the water just lay around the basin and toilet.

Close to Sepilok, lovely rainforest view from the balcony of our chalet. 8,7 This hotel was in great location as it was 5 minutes walk to Sepilok. Definitely stay here rather than in Sandakan. The staff were so helpful and very friendly. We had a wonderful view across the rainforest as we sat on our balcony and watched the sun set. The food was very good and they had a very unique way of making toast. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: You have to go to Sepilok and when you are there please adopt an Orangutan and help to save this remarkable species form extinction.

The staff were friendly and helpful. 8 The rainforest walk that was featured on the website was unmaintained and there were MANY ground leeches in the jungle. The leeches, of course, are no fault of the resort, but be warned that you should wear the special leech socks if you want to venture in. The resort staff are very helpful and courteous. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Close proximity to Orangutan sanctuary (10 minute walk), Rainforest Discovery Center (20 minute walk), and Proboscis Monkey sanctuary (20 minute taxi ride). Rainforest discovery center is very under-rated in the guidebooks. It was one of our favorite spots. Go early before crowds show up (everyone else goes to Orangutan sanctuary in morning for 9:00 a.m. feeding). RDC opens at 8:00 and is empty, great for early morning wildlife and rainforest vistas.
