Cavelossim hotels & places to stay

very nice hotel in a quiet area. the rooms are spacious and modern and provide all the amenities one expects from a five star hotel. as we booked an all-meal package i can only comment about the buffet which was, all in all, good with the main focus on indian food. the staff was very friendly but sometimes, especially at the breakfast-buffet, a bit inefficient. at the beach you can stroll for hours. there are not many or rather no other hotels directly at the beach and, therefore, there are not too many people about. the hotel seems to be very popular amongst russian families.

before going to Goa, we heard a lot of bad experiences from our friend that the hotel where they stayed not as they expected and their holiday become unpleasent experience. While we were searching, we still have this worry and it still have that until we arrived in the hotel. First thing that make our worried slowly dissapear that the hotel design was beautiful starting from the lobby, where friendly hotel staff helping us a lot on taking care our luggages, offering welcome drink, all the check in paper work done while we sitting relax in comfortable sofa. Then we were pleased more when we saw our room which very comfortable with good design and well maintain bath room with power shower, and located strategically in front off swimming pool where we can watch our kids playing in the pool just 10 steps in front of us. The hotel have good garden with kids playground facility and best of all it's next to the beach which very clean, beautiful sunset, and the sand was so soft. Other thing we like was the japanese restaurant which serving good teppanyaki. Some other thing that could be improved further were location of kids club, would be good if located outside hotel employee working zone, more variaty of non-indian food in waterfall restaurant buffet lunch & dinner, and safety concern of falling coconut to the swimming pool. Overall we were very pleased with our holiday in Zuri White Sand Resort Goa, it's actually beyond our expectation. Thanks.

Our stay at Regenta was quite enjoyable & memorable. It is a well designed & well maintained property.Pool facing room had the best view.Staff was very welcoming & cooperative. Varca beach is only at walking distance where we had so much fun while doing watersports. Regenta also provides spa facilities. For a family who want to experience calm environment of south Goa Regent is a good option.

I stayed in Mayfair Goa from 18th of October till 23rd of October 2019. Throughout my stay of 5 nights, I would want to highlight the positive and negatives of this property. If anyone thinks its a paid or fake review, kindly private message me and I will provide my Makemytrip’s booking Id of entire stay to verify. I am known to identify improvement areas wherever I stay and below mentioned is my review: Positives- 1. Check in was smooth and fastest. We were allotted room number 112 which was in front of the pool. 2. Dining staff which consists of 5-7 members were extremely customer centric and friendly to my family and kid. For 5 days straight, breakfast and dinner dishes were not repeated. It was way more delicious as same as I had it in (Kumarakom lake resort) in 2012 during my honeymoon. Glad that I had booked for breakfast (free) and dinner plan. 3. Everything we ordered to our room was taken care instantly whether we locked our room by mistake multiple times or we wanted dessert to be served in our room post dinner or we wanted an umbrella. 4. Pool was clean and so as the water, the staff arranged water tubes for my 2 year old son and for my spouse. Also arranged ’breezer’ at pool itself. Woke up early to witness the cleaning staff was working tirelessly to make everything clean and shiny as I saw in the pictures. We also enjoyed Air hockey and Table tennis. 5. The hotel has complimentary shuttle trip to ‘Cavelossim beach’ twice a day between 10am-1pm and 4pm-7pm. We opted to go for evening shuttle once in 5 days. My kid was getting very uneasy until 7p.m so we called hotel and we were arranged another shuttle in 5 minutes to hotel. 6. During my stay I realised that I forgot my debit card back home (Gurgaon) and I had options either to transfer funds to pay everyone or do paytm or use credit card to withdraw cash (highest day wise interest by banks). I spoke to reception team about this and they gave me a solution to swipe my credit card for the amount I need

We had a good stay in Radisson but the only downside we didn't really enjoy food in cavelossim. Had terrible food in one of the shacks at cavelossim beach. But beach is very pretty. If we come next to cavelossim we would rather stay in donna Sylvia. As it looks pretty good, and donna Sylvia's resort tariff is almost half of Radisson. The breakfast at Radisson is amazing.

Location 4.5*/5* -Cavelossim beach just 3 minutes walking from hotel. -Majority of Restaurants and beach shacks within 0.5 km range of hotel. -One hour drive from Goa Airport. Deluxe Room 3*/5* (please be cautious while booking). -booked for 6,000 rs per night too much for this hotel. -No AC in the bedroom, Window ac installed in the adjacent hall to the room. -TV too small may be around 24"(image attached). -Cockroaches in the bathroom. -Balcony needs cleaning. Food 3.5*/5* -Morning breakfast is very good, caters to almost everything (only thing is that it gets too crowded). Swimming pool 4.5*/5* (clear marking as per height). External ambience of hotel is 4.5*/5* -lawn with river front is awesome. -rain dancing speakers needs to be changed, sound quality not good. External ambience is good but rooms are in dire need of serious upgrade.

This simple but beautiful resort is perfect for anyone who doesn't need the over the top amenities of a 5-star resort. It has: -very clean, comfortable cottages with comfortable beds and linens, good A/c and tv, clean nice washrooms, free water bottles daily, etc. Nothing lacking in the cottages. -beautiful peaceful walkway between all cottages/resto and the beach with lush greenery and birds singing. -really good food and drinks at very fair prices at the restaurant. They also do room service. Would be nice if they had a bit more Goan food though -very nice clean pool and pool area with loungers and towels, and ability to get a drink by the pool. We didn't end up using the pool though because the beach was so amazing. -perfect stretch of beach, clean, wide, white sand, warm clean water, and loungers and towels, as well as the ability to order drinks and snacks. There is even a shower and foot washer at the entrance. Perfect sunsets. -only issue was hotel-organized taxi rip-off.

When we first arrived at the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised. for around cheap including breakfast buffet for two, this may be the best deal you can find in Goa. Both room and lobby can beat many 5 star hotels, and with free wifi, free breakfast, free shuttle to the beach and their more expensive hotel, White Sands. (they also let you use all the facilities at White Sands, including swimming pool) Bad things: hotel's taxi union blocks any other taxis, and their rate is outrageous.

This is great little place on SalRiver with magnificent view of Sun, Moon & Rains... flanked by an eco friendly beach on the opposite side of the road. Even if part of the property is still being developed to ready for the clients in another week's time, the staff goes out of the way to please and cook any breakfast of one's choice that's included in the deal for lodging-- a superb experience for b'n'b beating any deal in town. Am a professor traveling from North America through some 48-odd countries for a massive book project in Globalization and business ethics. This is just a journey to thousand steps to me but 'boy' what a wonderful treat and first step was it to spend at this beautiful, quiet and quaint SalRiviera Riverside Cottage... would love to return here for much longer sojourn... can only say good words for all extra-personal and professional efforts they put to make it God's little paradise between a river and the ocean! It's nature's true love nest.

Lazy Frog, as the name suggests, is a place perfect for a laid-back vacation. It has rooms suited for singles, couples and small families. It is simple yet with the required amenities a small kitchen, wifi, parking space, 2-wheeler for hire (for a charge), etc. The shower could have been slightly bigger but then there is a small pool, so I have no complaints (being on a short visit I didn't have the time to take a dip though). Food can be ordered with an in-house caterer. I am not a foodie, but I can say the taste was good. The location is Carmona village, about 20 minutes from Margao. It has the proverbial rustic setting, I think unlike some of the other commercialised spots very popular in Goa. So, if you are not a party animal and looking to just get lost, definitely this is the place for you.

the hotel is lacated on a beautiful stretch of a secluded beach, the villas have well appointed rooms, room service is friendly and efficient, there are two restaurants including one right on the beach, beach beds are provided for the guests there is also a well maintained pool. the front office staff were extremely helpful and courteous.the hotel has a relaxing, peaceful and quiet environment. most of the guests were foreign nationals( they always have a knack for locating good places). very ideal for those who prefer peace, privacy and a relaxing vacation.only disadvantage being its location away from shopping centres and city.

We had booked a standard room and the room we were given was more like a suite. Really good room and althought we had no lake view this was a far better room than the lake view rooms which were small. The staff were very helpful and pleasant and although we got intermittent WiFi they didn't charge me as the service was not good. We didn't use the restaurant except for breakfast as there were so many great places to eat in Udiapur. The hotel had obviously been recently redecorated and was lovely; much better than we expected. A bit costlier than we usually paid but worth it.

The hotel itself is well maintained with a pool and green, leafy gardens. It is a 10 minute walk through the dunes to the beach, which was great. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Food is available, although the menu is very limited. The hotel is mainly peaceful BUT Club Mahindra is right next door so all the 'party' (loud music,MC,etc...) can be a bit much, especially on Saturday nights. The biggest problems are taxis-the only ones available from the front desk charge maximum fares; as the hotel is isolated, you can't just go to the road and flag a cab down. This was compounded by the fact that one night a cab was over an hour late to pick us up and kept saying 'I'll be there in 10 minutes' every time the front desk called to see where he was! (In the end we gave up!) I want to say this place was good as the staff were so nice but the noise from the next resort was too much and the taxis were a con!

Lovely little guest house in a very quiet area about 20 mins walk from the beach. Friendly staff and residents, many of whom are annual visitors staying for months rather than weeks. Excellent pool and restaurant. One big drawback was our bedroom located in a small house across the road. It was very basic with hopeless shower which never produced even warm water whilst we were there. Very noisy fan and AC unit. Apart from that Dona Sa Maria was a great place to stay.

The Gaffinos Beach Resort is a budget hotel. It is centrally located, close to shops, some restaurants, and not far from the beach. The bedsheets looked very old and yellowish. I am not sure the blanket was washed. There was no hot water. The room looked like it needed a good scrub. Fine if you are on a budget, backpacking and get a descent low price at reception, not worth the price. We left after one night, even though we had booked and paid for two...

only dissapointing thing about the hotel is its location. Since we travelled by own car we didnt faced much problems but there were no bike rentals nearby. Its 6 kms from hotel. beach is 2.5 kms which is okay. Buffet breakfast is good. Desert items are sky high. Price of two small gulab jamuns are 175 bucks which is not worth. In 175 bucks i will myself make 12-15 jamuns. Staff is good. cleaned the room well. good swimming pool. overall enjoyed the stay in the hotel. only thing was didnt got a two wheeler for rent nearby hotel.
