"I have stayed at many hotels in Chiang Mai on business trips. This one was by far the best in the downtown area near the Night Bazaar. For me, location is very important in Chiang Mai. This is the best hotel in the location if you want luxury at a good value. The food here was very good also. This was our first time taking young children with us to Chiang Mai. The staff were very friendly and helpful with the children who were ages 1 and 3. We will definitely come back to the Centara. We love Chiang Mai."

"This big hotel has 17 floors and it is quite modern and luxurious. The rooms are way bigger than is normal in hotels in Chiang Mai. Our room on the 16th floor had a great view, and was just one floor below the rooftop where there is also a pool. There is another pool and a small gym on the 5th floor. There are some restaurants in the hotel, and two on the rooftop, of which one has a live band playing most nights. The cocktails that are served are also not bad. It is not located in the old centre of Chiang Mai but more close to the hipper and newer Niman neighborhood. A lot of restaurants, bars and shops can be found here. It is also on the way to Doi Suthep. All in all, I was very satisfied and I did not expect to have such a great time at a big chain hotel."

"Stay with Nimman was the best hotel we stayed at throughout our travels around Thailand. The price was amazing for such a great quality place. Everything in our room, from the sheets to the bathroom, was spotless. And free minibar and waters? Yes! It is a bit of a walk to old town, but it is easy to take one of those red trucks. Also, there is a lot to do around Stay with Nimman as it is a more modern growing location. A must try in Chiang Mai is khao soi noodles!"

"Everything was great except there are many mosquitoes at this time ( April) in Chiang Mai so remember to bring along anti mosquitoes gel. Breakfasts (BKF) were excellent. The hostel changes BKF everyday sometimes there are delicious traditional cakes. Cold water is free at reception. In Chiang Mai you can use Grab ( car or motorbike) service. It is very handy so do install grab app before your trip and buy a 3g sim upon arrival ( 5 USD for 8 days ) at the airport that would be perfect for your moving."

"Chiang Mai Orchid is one of the oldest big hotel in the city. Its location is convenient for me who has business to do with Chiang Mai University but for most tourists, it might be more convenient to stay over the Nimanhemin Road for your night shopping/dining. Although the room and facility look a little too aged, the hotel is very big and they have pretty much most things we need....it is just not in the most stylish way as many other smaller boutique hotels in Chiang Mai will offer. But the hotel restaurant offered a very nice local food in a very reasonable price. The breakfast buffet was also nice. In conclusion, although this place might be old and does not offer the fancy look to the visitor, it is clean and convenient."

"“If I am going to run a hostel(which definitely in a not distanced future will), this is what I want in my head”, I wroted the day I left my HOME@Chiang Mai, Green Sleep Hostel. 1. Superb concept: Green Sleep. What modern individuals need today is definitely good sleep, and the hostel offers more than just that. It's green. it's clean, and it's just zen. What I was looking for in my 7-year hosteling experience, this is simply the best. 2. Superb location: Exact center of Old Town Chiang Mai. The most convenient place you can find. Especially when it's Sunday night market, just down stairs. One more note to CHINESE visitors, an authentic Cantonese restaurant just opposite the hostel, with great Canonese dishes and same price as what we have in normal cities in China, and with availability to pay directly via Alipay(Zhifubao). Trust a person who lives in Cantonese area. 3. Superb cleanliness & facilities: cleaner even than your house maybe, and all facilities just create a clean and cozy environment while you are staying. 4. Superb staff: God, my Chiang Mai families. Normally in hostel, you don't see staff always smiling and willing to help, you don't see staff carrying your stuff to your dorm, you don't see staff who treat you really as brothers and sisters. 5. Superb value of money: that‘s conclusion. But Green Sleep's more than that. The system gives me 10 points, not enough, to me, at least 11. This is what people should choose in Chiang Mai, and also I will come back and visit more frequently. Happy new year."

"This is about the 8th time we have stayed at Top North, why? Because it is inexpensive, central to everything, clean and generally quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast whilst not lavish is suitable and sufficient for the general traveller. One not of caution, this time we were allocated room 407, which was roomy, clean and comfortable and provided a quiet nights rest. However for the infirm or elderly the shower/bath may be an issue as it stands approximately 70 cm - 2'4" inches high making access difficult for the elderly or anyone with hip or back problems. Our friend was allocated room 400, which had a lower shower/bath access. The owners have over the years slowly improved all the facilities in the hotel and it is now (for me) one of the best 'value for money', location wise hotels in Chiang Mai, with its large pool, pool bar and in-house massage facilities."
