"This was our second stay in this hotel. We were given early access to our room which was much appreciated. We had a standard queen room which was very adequate. The central location is excellent with public transport at the door. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and all aspects of our time there were good. This hotel ticks all the right boxes and will always be our 'go to' hotel in Melbourne."

"We always like to book hotels close to public transport to enable us to get about with great ease. Whilst not our favourite Melbourne Hotel, Best Western Atlantis ticks all the boxes for us in terms of being close to the Airport shuttle, free city loop tram (corner of spencer street and la trobe) that will loop around to the majority of the tourist attractions in Melbourne. The tram stops directly outside some attractions and just a short walk to others. We arrived at 11am and didn't,t expect an early check in and were quite prepared to leave our luggage with the concierge til check in time whilst we explored Melbourne but we were given an early check in which was very helpful. The Queen Executive we had was a reasonable sized room, writing desk, two seat sofa, coffee table, fridge, tea/ coffee making, safe, hair dryer, alarm clock - all the things we required. The room was clean and comfortable and very good value. The hotel is NOT located in the hub of Melbourne and there are no stylish eateries on the doorstep but supermarkets, 7-11 and various fast food outlets and other clothing outlets can be found in or near the Southern Cross terminal just across the road and less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. So easy to go further afield on the free tram or just pick up a Myki card at any 7-11 or most stations and load it with whatever credit you require to use the train, bus and tram system - just easy as:D). The hotel also has an indoor pool and reasonably priced breakfast though we didn't,t have chance to use those facilities on this trip. We,d definitely stay again."

"Although the Pegasus Apartment hotel is very new, it is well organized and everything worked. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. There's no hotel restaurant but there are many restaurants and cafes a short walk away and one is spoiled for choice. Of course you can self cater but we preferred to go out. The room was very clean and a good size. We had been told that Melbourne hotel rooms were small but it certainly was not the case here. Location is very important and the Pegasus has it. We especially liked the free circle line tram which stops nearby and goes to many places of interest. The cars are vintage and a ride in one of these is an experience in itself. There's a recorded commentary to help you. The hotel reception will supply a free map and with that it's almost impossible to get lost. All too soon it was time to leave and we wished we could have stayed a little longer."

"I'd read quite a few reviews before heading to Melbourne and was a little apprehensive about what I'd find at 'Arrow'. Now, having returned home I'm puzzled as to what the negative comments were all about! While the foyer could do with an upgrade, the location is ideal for looking around Melbourne (a 5 minute walk to Lygon Street, a 12 minute walk to Queen Vic Markets), the staff were very helpful and polite, the room was small but clean and had everything that I needed and the bathroom, while the size of a normal en-suite, was more than sufficient for taking a shower etc. The bedroom was small but the reality is, you sleep there! It doesn't have to be enormous! The sheets were crisp and clean, the mirrored wardrobe had hangers, and there was a desk/table as well as a bedside table, great bedside light and clock. While the bed was a little firm for my liking the pillows were good. Although there was some noise at night, what else would anyone expect from a hotel in the middle of a major city, next to a main thoroughfare, on a Friday and Saturday night? The noise came from outside and when the windows were closed, the noises all but disappeared. If the temperature was a problem, there was an air-conditioner. All in all, the apartment was ideal for what I wanted. If you want 5 star then stay in a 5 star establishment but if you want something at a reasonable price which is clean, convenient and comfortable, then stay at 'Arrow on Swanston'. I'll be back and would have no problems recommending it to others."

"We were traveling with 2 older children on our holiday to Melbourne, Auckland and Sydney. In these 3 cities where we stayed at 3 different hotels, Crown Towers Hotel is the one we remember fondly. The children enjoyed the hotel so much that they were reluctant to leave. I actually had stayed in this hotel once (12 years ago), but the hotel does not feel old at all. We got a very good promotion rate where we could put 4 persons in one room. The 2 twin beds are big enough for 2 persons in 1 bed. Then there is the free wifi... There is no doubt that this is arguably the best hotel in Melbourne. "

"Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport was easy to book and contact about our booking details prior to our arrival. They were helpful about the different arrival and departure times of the members of our group. Their room service was prompt and friendly. Rooms were clean and cleaned every day. It was easy to get around from the hotel and the breakfast food was freshly cooked with enough variety for all. We did not stay in the hotel for other meals so cannot comment. "
