We tend to only use hotels for sleeping and travel during the day but this hotel was fine to dine in and rooms were very reasonable. They were clean and comfortable. The location was pretty good, close to shopping, buses and most of the temples and churches as long as you don't mind walking but this is the best way to find things.

so so. Just one thing. Ramyas hotel was the worst thing. It is a big mistake for Agoda to recommend it.
Trichy best for cookware, prescription glasses And Vegetarian food , British influence came to the south at the end of the occupation so eating meat is not as popular as the north although this has changed in recent times but the food in the south is best as long as you know what you desire and what
This is a place which I visit quite regularly as it is the focal point to many other Tamil states such as Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Madurai etc.
Trichy is well organized city . Excellent for shopping especially saree and awesome local south Indian cuisine .
Nice city with friendly people. Less hectic compared to Chennai and has a calm spiritual appeal to it.
Trichy is a good gateway from which to visit the state of Tamil Nadu. Compared to flying in to Chennai which is a little further off from the heartland of the state, Trichy is well-poised to become the base from which to travel to cities like Madurai, Thanjavur other nearby towns.
Busy place and traffic is hectic during peak. Good location of entry to all religious locations and has fantastic temples in Trichy
A very ancient city with a myriad of temples and Churches.Sri Rangam is an UNESCO designated World Heritage Site.
There is little to see in Trichy, 2 places to be sure. Lots of small shopping centers to browse around.
If you want to see the poor of India, here is one of the places. There are well to do people but most of the people are poor and just trying to survive day to day.
Srirangam Temple, Rockfort temple, Kallanai Dam which is built by Karikalan the chola king during ancient times.
