Colva hotels & places to stay

pearls oceanique resort is one of the best places to stay near colva beach. the resort is truely magnificient with great interiors and good rooms each with pool view. there is a huge pool in the middle of the resort and this remains the centre of activity for all inmates. there are several facilities in the premises which indeed caters to different tastes. though each room is pool facing the design of the resort provides ample space for privacy and calmness. nothing is crowded with ample walkways. it is about 300 mtrs from the actual beach and if it is not very hot and sunny the walk is interesting with rice fields and small pond which reminds of the rural village goa. we captured amazing photos of pond herons, kingfisher and storks near this pond. the approach road to the beach runs through fishermans village and that stretch is unclean and dirty. however the fisherman folks are harmless and simply stare at all tourists passing through their village. colva beach and that stretch of nearby beaches are the king and queen of beach in goa. calm safe and very peaceful. not lonely but still enough space to relax and to be at peace with nature. most amazing part was that the tarrif on agoda was almost 1/2 of that you get at some horrible hotels which are unfortunately called resorts in baga, calangute and nearby stretch of beaches.

Baywatch resort,colva, is a wonderful resort,we got very good attention from the staff,read in earlier comments that no attention given to indians-NOT TRUE AT ALL.pool-5*,pool guard-excellent.spa rates are bit higher, food@brkfast buffet-amazing,special arrangemnts for kids like choclate milk shake,chocos,less spicy south indian food,desserts,dinners@ala carte- excellent quality for both veg/non veg, cleaning staff-excellent, beach entrance is from backside,walking fr abt 2-3mins, beach gate watchman very nice,private parking, location perfect if u want a break from hustle bustle,hired car from colva beach,north goa is far for abt 2hrs, we got pickup n drop from airport by resort shuttle.Got big airy neat rooms. Cons- they should increase the complimentary water bottles to the room,mini bar charges are high. Overall- would recommend to family n friends,special thnx to agoda for giving memorable trip.wil come back soon.

We stayed in LA Ben on mid October for 3 days. This is a highly reputed budget hotel in colva.Locketion is best,on the main road and market.main entrance of colva Beach is nearby. Excellent rooms, homly environment,very cordial and helpful front desk staff,everything are very satisfactory. They arrange North and South Goa tour by bus with very nominal price. But their rooftop restaurant is overpriced.Lot of eating optiln are there around la ben.Beat budget hotel in colva.

I really enjoy stay, rooms are average with basic facilities. Television is not available for children, get bored in evening specially for children. Place should be avoid by person who does want to walk from Colva circle to resort. There is 5-10 min sea beach walking distance. Scary in evening when dark though hotel provide transportation facility with some charges and subject to availability in night. Not for persons who like live near crawdad area. Loving palce for foreigners.

we are a danish couple (69 and 63) who had a lovely week at silver sands beach resort. we were happy for our choice of this hotel. it is well situated at the main street in colva, but quiet and near the beach. we find the southern beach better than the more populated northern beaches. the room was fine, but the view from our window not so nice. cleaning standard was acceptable, but not perfect. the personel was kind. the breakfast was amazingly poor. we did not try the restaurant. it was not so inviting, and there were many other nice alternatives. in spite of some reservation we found that the hotel gave value for money and provided the essentials which we wanted.

On arrival we couldn't find a soul to accept us into these apartments. We got a sinking feeling as we where walking up to the Colva holiday homes because of the sheer state of the place. A shop keeper told us that it's main hotel complex was around the corner. On arriving to the Colva Kinara hotel we noticed a massive difference in standards. This place was spotless. With loads of staff answering to everyone's needs. A swimming pool with swim up bar. Poolside resturaunt. We asked for a transfer from the apartments to the Hotel (which they did for a extra £10 per day per room). Best move we've ever made. The whole staff couldn't do enough for us. We where treat like royalty. Spent a fantastic 8 nights there and didn't want to come home. For the extra few quid it's well worth upgrading from the Colva Holiday homes to the Colva Kinara

The look and feel of the Hotel was good. Service was good. Rooms were clean. The location is very interior and quite away from the beach. The location on the map is incorrect. So i was very disappointed when i learnt that the hotel is in such a remote location. An vehicle is a must else you cannot travel to the beach too. Basically, its not a Hotel, its like a holiday homes.

Colva was not our favourite resort during our 4 weeks in Goa, but the Stain Glass Cottage provides a clean and homely accommodation on the edge of town. You need transport as the cottage is a good 40min walk from the centre of Colva and its beaches. There is locals bar 2 min walk from the cottage that serves surprisingly well cooked food, a 5min walk takes you to a clean family restaurant serving a good selection of food and cocktails. . . otherwise it is a drive into town. Breakfast at the cottage was aimed at the Indian market so unless you insist you won’t get the option for eggs or toast. Rooms are comfortable but a little small but bathrooms are clean and stylish (Yellow room), you have to ask to have your towels/lined changed and despite the rooms being cleaned every day you will need to ask for more loo paper!

An interesting Portuguese house,in a traditional Goan area. My balcony had a green view of mature palms,banyan and mango trees. View was especially attractive at full moon. The family were kind and situation was peaceful. Local transport are unable to find the house. There is a fan, lights, electric sockets, Indian TV, a cold shower, and a very hard bed. Other promised facilities do not exist. The experience was interesting,but uncomfortable. There is a useful Tourist taxi booking office at Colva beach for longer trips,I had a good experience. Arabia restaurant opposite Colva church makes good Biriani. Ot

The Acacia Palms is a great place for anyone wanting to experience peace and quiet - but within walking distance of the activity, restaurants and nightlife of Colva. The only thing I feel they could have done better was the pool area. I realise the resort is within strolling distance of the beach, but the pool could have felt more lush and bigger, and would have been a great appeal to the European tourists. But what exemplified this hotel for me was the Staff. I had a very early pick-up to the airport, and while confirming the arrangements I was asked if I would like breakfast arranged for me to eat on the way. Sure enough, it was beautifully packaged and ready to go as I checked out. A small detail made my trip. Thank you, I will definitely be back
