Phrae is a bit off the beaten track, so one shouldn't expect to see the same high levels of sophistication as in BKK or Chiang Mai. Was the best hotel and least expensive we stayed in during our trip around Kamphaeng Phet, Lampang, Phrae and Petchabun. Room (standard twin) was big, clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast had many choices and was always well kept. Our room, including breakfast was less than a USA Jackson per night. Staff was great, plenty of parking and a very good location....

Nice modern small resort in Phrae, close to town centre (walkable). Our room is cosy and functional. Owner and staffs are friendly and helpful. The resort is part of Hug & Mug Cafe where you can also enjoy a good cup of coffee before exploring the town.

It was very good. Would recommend it and stay there again when in Phrae.

We stayed for just one night and it was a great place to rest. They are in the middle of the district that sells all the Indigo clothing made in Phrae...hence the name 'Indigo House'. The breakfast was great, I am gluten free and they were so kind to make me a simple breakfast that wasn't on the menu.

The hotel is situated right on the old 101 road in the middle of Phrae (pronounce Phrair), ie not the new by-pass road, also called 101. Simple lodging at a quiet hotel in a simple town. The best hotel in Phrae, Thailand. Easy access to the town and is at the centre of Phrae. I enjoyed my stay there and the food at the restaurant. The service is quite good.

Great stay. Very clean room and the beds were amazing. I like firm beds and these were some of the best beds I've ever slept in in Thailand. Very friendly and helpful staff with a good range of services including motorbike rental. Hotel was quite busy and they could not fulfill my request for a large bed so I got two twins instead.

Despite not speaking much English, Ali and her husband went out of their way to make sure I had a comfortable stay. They brought me to the Den Chai train station twice (first to reserve the sleeper car to Bangkok and then late the next night to catch the train). Although the hotel is just a standard modern three storey building on the outside, inside it is pleasant and comfortable. The double rooms, with AC, flatscreen tv and a nice shower room, are attractive and good value for money. I stayed 1 night at Homestay Ban Suan Khuean while travelling through north Thailand by motorcycle. I have to say I had some difficulty finding the house, but the effort well worth it. Check in was smooth and the receptionist was kind enough to change our room to a better location away from reception for a small price change. The staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean and beds not too hard. the TV selection was very poor for foreigners but I doubt they get many foreigners in this hotel. It is next to the highway so noisy , be prpared for that...
