“Bad rooms but good property”
This is a detailed review after having stayed there for a couple of nights. Rooms: 1-star This is a 4-star property but that doesn't reflect in the rooms at all. There were a number of issues, especially if you are traveling with children: 1. The biggest problem we faced was the lack of anything to hang your clothes on. The rooms have no hangers whatsoever in the bathroom, walls or doors. The only hangers they provide could be used in the cupboard but this is a property with pool and beach access. Which means you will have a lot of wet clothes. And yet, they didn't have anything to help dry clothes. And this meant, every room had so many clothes drying right outside. You don't want to see people's dirty laundry (even underwear) everywhere you turn. This was a nightmare. I did complain about it and even asked them why they don't have hangers but the reception folks didn't have an answer. 4-star property but very bad arrangement. 2. Second biggest problem was the senseless door handle of the bathroom. The handle was placed in such a way that you cannot wrap your fingers around it. You have to keep your fingers on one side only otherwise you would get hurt, like I did a number of times. Absolutely senseless. 3. Third problem was the sharp objects which hurt us even while walking or using facilities. The bed corners were quite sharp and scraped my legs a few times. So much so that I ended up bleeding. The bathroom faucet right under the shower was so sharp and long that it hurt my shin. We were travelling with our infant daughter and this was such a scare for us. We have done the baby proofing in our home. I didn't know I would need to baby proof my resort room too. 4. The AC was inefficient. It took so much time to cool the room and even then we felt it could do better. Even if we left the AC on while going out for half an hour, we didn't find the room cool when we came back. We complained about it, they sent someone but it didn't help. We couldn't keep calling the maintenance folks as we had our plans. This was a big let down. 5. The floor tiles were uneven, so much so that couple of tiles were awkwardly high or low and that meant my toes got hurt a few times. Also, the door didn't close completely and the lock gave the feel of a cheap road side motel. So, overall, a lot of problems with the rooms which could hurt you or ruin your experience. Be absolutely sure you are ok with this compromise. Location: 5-star Located within 1 km of the jetty, this was very convenient to get there. Also, you have a lot of companies for scuba diving and some other water activities nearby, including one inside the property as well. This is located right at the Nemo beach. Property: 4-star This property has a big pool which is accessible till 9pm. This property also has a private beach, albeit a little small. They have beautiful lighting between the pool and restaurant and a lot of space for leisure. They also arrange candle light dinners on demand. You could just walk around for a relaxed feel good vibe. Lot of good options to suit your interests. Food: 4-star Food was wonderful. Minor things here and there but nothing major to complain about. We are vegetarian and tried a few different dishes in the course of the 2 nights we stayed there. We didn't have to think of trying anything outside the resort. That always helps when you are traveling. The food is a little bit on the expensive side but when the food is good, you don't mind spending a bit extra, at least we didn't. Overall, I would give this property 2 stars. Mainly because of so many issues with the room and nobody giving a damn about it. I pointed out things while checking out as well but the person at the reception was not interested at all. All the staff was courteous but just didn't give a damn about any feedback.
