“ONLY for Prime Location”
Its old but renovated hotel, with very good (Prime) location. It is recommended only for its prime location. We three adults, stayed for three nights in “Premier Family Room – Ocean View – 1 double bed and 1 Queen bed, booked capacity FOUR ADULTS ”. To our surprise, when we entered the room, there was only one double bed – then hotel assistant indicated to one cupboard type structure, which, when pulled down, got converted in bed – SIZE around 5’ X 5’ ONLY – good only for young child – not good for third adult. One of the two windows, overlooked side corridor of the hotel – only one window had sea view. Better orientation room of same category was available and was given to some one booking on the spot – it seems guests with booking through travel sites, are given SECOND Grade treatment. Check-in experience was bad – two young girls trying to manage huge list for check in, rooms not ready even after scheduled check-in time. Though my room was ready and allotted (room number given and house keeping confirmed that room was ready) – we were made to wait, with the logic that those arrived earlier has not yet been allotted their rooms – What a logic ? Toilet was with in the room, with only half height partition – filling room with foul smell when in use. A/c out door was installed just outside toilet seat – making toilet hot – and room noisy, when compressor was ON. Room cleaning for the continuing guests was given least priority and was done only after all vacant rooms were completed. Entry has almost half floor stairs, and access to lift was another more than half floor ramp. Shocked to see that lift did not go to dining hall & Pool, which were almost one & half floor below – and we were forced to take stairs. Hotel has one restaurant & one bar. Restaurant food (North Indian) was OK – except Curd, which was too sour – we could not eat it. Breakfast was good but didn’t have too many variety. There are shortage of Staff – both in Hotel as well as Restaurant. Ms Sadhna Biswas in Restaurant is pleasing person and served us well.
