Great 5 Star Gem in the heart of Sukhumvit Area”

The Continent Bangkok by Compass Hospitality is tucked away and easily missed from the street. On the North side of Sukhumvit Road just about midway between Asok Montri Rd and Sukhumvit Soi 23 is a small driveway entrance that I mistook for an alley many times strolling by on the sidewalk when I first stayed in the area. Luckily, a great price offering on Agoda brought my attention to this 5 star gem back then and I have stayed here several times since. Their sign is actually on the side of the building on the East side of the driveway and can be easily missed when driving by in a taxi on the street. Know your location and watch for it when coming for the first time. Staff here is very professional and will treat you very well. Accommodations are impeccable. Each floor is small with only a handful of rooms on each which means there are no long hallways. If you have a chance to get the Sky Room upgrade give it a whirl, you won't be disappointed. In room amenities are nice including robes and slippers, large safe, iron and ironing board, and hair dryer. Most rooms I've stayed in had closet door that doubles as bathroom door which is a bit inconvenient as you can't get to closet with bathroom open and vice versa. The upper floor pool, dinning room, and club are very nice so don't forget to check them out while your there. The club offers some great views and great food to entertain your guests. Even though it's in the middle of a very busy area conveniently next to Asoke BTS station, it is not a busy hotel and you will find your stay here very relaxing.

Stay during Chinese New Year”

I stayed over at The Continent Bangkok by Compass Hospitality during the Chinese New Year for 6 days. The location is superb beside Asoke station, and the staff was helpful with allowing us to park our car during the night. The hotel is clean and comfortable, not much noise from the traffic (stayed on the 16th floor). However, two downside was the elevator and door. There are only two elevators for so many floors, the waiting time is real. The room door is not sound-proof at all, you could easily hear whats happening outside the rooms and hear whats going on inside the rooms. Overall it was a great stay.

Best Hotel I Have ever stay in BKK”

The Continent Bangkok by Compass Hospitality is the best hotel i have come across ever. I am a frequent traveler to bangkok and i would dare say this is the best hotel ever i have stayed so far. its less than 3 mins to terminal 21. less than 3 mins to the train station. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. i will stop looking for hotel and will just book this hotel from now on for my bangkok trip. no regret!

New hotel, nice decor & great location”

we only stayed for 2 nights, but the short experience was enough to convince us to come back to stay at the continent. our group was in bangkok to visit another hotel (work related). the organiser of the group by chance, asked the continent if they could give us a tour of the hotel and they plesantly obliged. eventhough she was busy, ms seri (if i'm not mistaken her name) took her time to show us (divided into 2 groups) and lenghtily explained the concept behind the continent. the concept was interesting and well-planned to say the least. (the concept of the continent may need another page to describe, so i wont go into that now i was glad that everyone in the group found the continent beyond their expectation & happy with the amenities. i was responsible for choosing the hotel and reading the reviews on agoda helped me making the selection. apart from good location, free wifi is another main characteristic i look for when looking for hotel as we need to work and nowadays working & communicating via internet is crucial. the free wifi in the room is a big plus!!

Comfortable, Convenient location, Great staff”

I found myself staying at The Continent Hotel Bangkok under rather unexpected circumstances- I broke my ankle while on holiday and needed a comfortable hotel near Bumrungrad International Hospital from which to convalesce for a week before returning home to the UK. Though a handicapped accessible room was not available, the hotel was well equipped to accommodate me and my crutches (less the 6 steps at the entrance)! The staff was incredibly accommodating, helpful, and kind. They went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable as possible, really going above and beyond in every possible way. This included loaning me a wheelchair for use sightseeing around the city, and pushing me in this wheelchair to the subway around the corner to help my mother and I to get around more easily. Their consideration extended to my mother who joined me to help me during my recovery, and seemed to extend to all other guests as well. The hotel is very new, and in excellent condition, finished to a high quality specification. Beds were comfortable, city views spectacular from floor to ceiling windows. High-speed internet was free and fast. Breakfast was delicious. The pool is small, but I was very pleased that this city boutique hotel had one at all! I enjoyed it even with my leg in a plaster cast! A wonderful alternative to the massive chain hotels that dominate the luxury space.

Centrally located Hotel & Friendly Staffs”

We are extremely satisfied with our stay at The Continent Hotel Bangkok. This hotel is centrally located, which is only 3-minute walk to Terminal 21 Shopping Mall, Sukhumvit MRT Subway Station and Asoke BTS Skytrain Station. Besides, it is very easy to catch the taxi too and Suvarnabhumi International Airport is a only 45-minute ride away. The room is fully furnished with air conditioning, flat-screen TV and a minibar. En suite bathrooms are fitted with shower facilities. Rooms are quite small but there are clean & stylish. The hotel staffs are polite, helpful, attentive and service-oriented. They can speak well English. Overall, everything is great and it will be our choice if we are going to visit Bangkok again.

Haven in the heart of bustling Sukhumvit”

i have been to bangkok many times and i try to stay in different hotels each time. i enjoyed staying in the sukhumvit area and decided to find a hotel in the same area this time around. stumbled across the continent completely by accident and booked it on a whim. i checked in close to midnight and had informed them beforehand. when i arrived, the reception had my check-in documents ready, so i didn't need to wait long at all and enjoyed my kiwi-lychee welcome drink. the room was very cosy (i stayed 3 nights and spent quite a bit of time in the room working - thanks for the super-fast wifi!). there were some interesting automatic blinds that closed off the bedroom and bathroom, and a nice option of hand-held shower or rainshower. breakfast was simple, but service was great. they had a number of japanese and caucasian guests, and the lady manning the omelette station gave me a huge smile when i stayed true to my asian roots and asked for the chilli sauce. :d just 2-3 minutes walk from the asok bts skytrain station, sukhumvit mrt station, and terminal 21 shopping centre - it had a fantastic location. the down-side is that because it is new and not very visible from the main road, most taxi drivers didn't know where it was. that wasn't a problem for me since i'm relatively familiar with the city, but for first-time visitors, please google map the location with terminal 21 as your main landmark. i would definitely stay there again

Awesome! Centrally Located! Comfortable Rooms!”

The stay at Continent Hotel is awesome! First of all, the hotel location is very good. It is only a 5 mins sheltered walk from ASOK BTS station, thus travelling around to shop is very convenient. Terminal 21 is just right beside Asok station, and by taking the BTS to Siam Paragon and such.. one will not really need to take a taxi around (thus avoiding the bangkok traffic jam). The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, it has a very modern design theme and yet feels cosy. The beds are huge and very comfortable to sleep in. Also, the toilet and the shower room is quite spacious with a good water pressure from the shower head. Was really satisfied with my stay at Continent Hotel Bangkok. Would definitely return here for my next shopping trip!

Great location, great service”

This was our second stay at The Continent Bangkok as we enjoyed our first stay there. It is located in the heart of the commercial area of Bangkok, Sukhumvit, and getting around the city was a breeze since it is in a central location. Hotel is within walking distance to Terminal 21 mall and Asok BTS and Sukhumvit Metro station. Staff are very friendly, always greeting with a warm smile and eager to serve. They are also able to converse in English really well, with some able to speak several regional languages too. The hotel is styled like the globe with its levels representing different countries and continents as per its name sake. Rooms are well kept and cleaned and furnishings are not old. Overall it is a pleasant place to stay.

Not a big hotel but its value is huge ”

In general I was very satisfied about the Continent hotel about all aspects To be more specific - location: might be is the best location in BKK, just 5 minute walk to the BTS and Terminal 21. - staffs are extremely professional, they are very nice, friendly and make me like staying at home. - room is not too big but have a nice view to the city (I recommend to choose the Continent Room if you want to experience the dynamic view of BKK. - food is very delicious especially the Medinii restaurant at night, which serves the Italian foods. Price is not too expensive but the quality is perfect. However, there are some aspects need to improve like - when we coming (at about 2 Pm - Saturday (29 - July) right time to check in but there was no welcome drink or something to help us feel more comfortable due to we already had long trip with a flight, discovered around Or To Kor market before coming to hotel (maybe the staff forgot or sthg) - the facility in bathroom need to improve a little bit especially the floor in our bathroom have some black areas, they were not dirty but made us feel not good when the first look. Overall, this is a nice, professional and friendly hotel with nice location, nice view and the most important aspect is staff. If you guy come to BKK, I highly recommend to stay here at least one time Thank you the Continent hotel for a nice trip.

comfortable, convenient, affordable”

I visit BKK fairly often and usually alway stay in Sukhumvit. Compared to other hotels in the same league, The Continent Hotel is one of the best. It is still new, clean, quiet and friendly overall. Attentive, cheerful staff. Free Internet is extremely slow, which is frustrating - if you wanted to upload your photos, this might be a challenge. Rooms are reasonably large, clean and comfortable. Beds are nicely firm, sleep is good. Aircon is very quiet. Room lighting controls are somewhat disorganised, but manageable. Shower room/toilet are spacious. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and it is highly likely that I will book this hotel again.

Classy Little Hotel”

as a frequent traveller to bangkok, i make it a point to try different hotels based on reviews from agoda. it is important to be able to weed out reveiws from people that are just not happy with anything and just like whining. here is my assessment of the hotel; location: great location as it is situated next to the asok skytrain and sukhumvit mrt ( subway). though hard for taxis to find as the hotel is new. getting around bangkok by taxi at certain hours of the day ( 6-8pm) is not a good idea so the skytrain and mrt are essential modes of transportation. room: rooms are small but ok for 2 people. a/c and showers are wonderful and the amenities excellent. free bottled water daily. internet slow. quiet rooms. elevator slow. service: front desk pleasant but can be a little uppity as they view themselves as a five start hotel. more like 4. not rude, just distant. food: the breakfast is served on the 37th floor with a majestic view of bangkok. food is limited and seating can be a problem during 7-8:30am. can anyone please teach cooks how to cook eggs !! i am a chef instructor and it galls me to see over easy eggs fried crispy and broken! pool and gym: excellent though the pool has limited pool chairs. overall: for the money ( and expect to pay ) a good choice.

Wow factor.”

We had 3 nights here with Sky Benefits in a Continent room to bring our holiday to a close. It didn't get off to a great start as the room was all glass and about 35 degrees, the air-conditioner wouldn't blow cold air. After dark it cooled enough for sleep and was repaired the next day. Evening ocktails and light food were served in the Axis and Spin lounge on the 37th floor overlooking Bangkok as was breakfast, fabulous. A small swimming pool with limited sunbathing area on the floor below helped top up the tan. The bathroom was compact but has a great view from the bath. We ate in the Italian restaurant in the hotel which proved to be very good also at Indulge outside to the right the best lemon soufflé going. The hotel is a short walk from BST ASOK and Terminal 21, so all your shopping needs are easily accessed, Soil Cowboy is behind the hotel not for everyone but it's still worth a look . All in all we had a great time at the Continent and taken back to the Airport in their limo.

Cosy boutique hotel at good location”

it took us a while to locate the boutique hotel off asok bts and sukhumvit mrt stations. but once we found it, we were greeted with a beautifully decorated hotel with a welcoming and cosy setting. the staff were polite, courteous and helpful with all our queries. the continent room was superb as it comes complete with a separate dedicated bathtub that offers an unique and special view of the bangkok skyline through a full glass wall. privacy is still assured with an automated window blind system. with short walking distances to asok bts and sukhumvit mrt stations, the hotel offers ready access to places of attraction in bangkok.

A good standard 5* in a great location. ”

We stayed in a sky room which comes with club benefits - soft drinks free all day and unlimited beer, wine & cocktails with snacks from 4pm-6pm. We also took advantage of the early/late check in - We checked in at 10am and checked out at 3pm with no extra charge. The decor of the hotel was slick and stylish and had a 'cosier' feel to it than alot of other 5* hotels. The rooms are not massive (seeing as it was a 'club' room) but nicely designed. We ate in their restaurant, Medhini, which is an international buffet with made-to-order main courses from tasmanian salmon to sirloin, to pizza and pasta. Good value. We ate breakfast here too and was a similar affair - not a massive variety but something for everyone. The pool was very small but offered good views of the city. If I had to pick some negatives, I would say that the pool only has 8 sunbeds to service the whole hotel so there is'nt always one available when you want it. If you plan on lazing all day by the pool, then maybe this isn't the hotel for you. Also, in comparison to other club rooms we have stayed in, this room did'nt have a DVD player or a bath, but then we probably paid less for it than other club rooms. The Continent is maybe not as plush as the Westin or Sheraton which are located on this part of Sukhumivt too, but this is reflected in price. Yes, I would reccomend this hotel, and yes, I would stay here again.

Centrally located, 4* room, excellent staffs”

Centrally located beside Asok BTS and Sukhumvit MRT. Money changer and pharmacy are right outside the hotel. In-house dining, there were Medinii (italian) and Bangkok heightz (Thai) both offers magnificent views with above average good. Sky lounge was good for drinks . Check in speedy and easy and was actually one of the few that remembered the welcome drink. The reception lady (Grape) was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend upgrades to room with sky benefits. The pool at 35th floor is good for chilly out, it is cosy and it doesn't get busy. I stayed in Continent room on 31st floor, the room's decoration and finishing is average, didn't feel like a 5*. I put it down to the fine details of the room and bathroom wall color, which doesn't fit the concept of fhe room. The layout of the room is also is slightly odd for me, a little smaller than expected. Housekeeping is slightly slow too. Overall, it is a nice hotel with excellent staffs.

Great location and service!”

I stayed in their Sky Executive suites this time. The hotel is located super close to Asok station. It's like less than 5 mins walking from Asok station. It's right at the down town area, two metro lines cross here. 2 mins walking distance away, there is a big mall, Terminal 21 provide most of my needs in my daily life. The staffs are all well train and very friendly. I especially have to mention the reception staff, Grape, in the front desk. She is Thai and she can speak Chinese very well. She described all the things I need when I stay in the hotel, such as the great and complex benefit packages for the Sky customers. She has a great working attitude and always answer my questions with patience and a big smile. I'm glad that The Continent Hotel has staffs like Grape, I think reception staffs like she, give customers a good first image when they check in, and indeed, I had a great experience stay there. I will recommend to my friends when they travel in Bangkok.

One of the best place we stayed for a long time”

Continent hotel is very well located, easy to access from the airport by taxi, 2 mins walk from the train station as well, 2 mins walk from the Shopping center Terminal 21. And nightlife entertainment close as well! The room was simply perfect, nice view, so comfortable. The staff was very nice, excellent language skills, and perfect timing for everything, last time we had such performance was at Hilton. We will definitely come back to this hotels if we have to come by Bangkok!

Finally found it at Continent Hotel-Sincerity”

As a frequent business traveller i never have a thought of posted a review after many times booked and stayed hotel via Agoda, but Continent Bangkok made this time different. In addition from its next to Asok BTS station super convenient location, the hotel management and the team (and i mean every single one of the team started from concierge,room service, F&B till z) are the jewel that make this place so different with others. Multilingual, warm attitude, fast respond and familiar with operation (the fastest check in and out i have ever experience before), before you ask they already proceed with what you wish in mind, certainly every single step touched the heart of visitors and the most important you can warmly felt their sincerity, certainly they enjoy their work very much! Unique and perfect!

Great Pool, Great Location, Great rooms”

This was my second stay at The Continent Hotel Bangkok, and I'm sure I will be back. The location of the hotel is great for the shopper and or the person looking for some of Bangkok's great night life. The rooftop pool and bar is a fantastic starting point for a night of either relaxation or first drinks as the sun goes down over the city to start off a night of party going. The room is large and comfortable and a nice bathroom with a great shower. Staff are polite and courteous and helpful. Overall great value hotel.
