"We had issue with mosquitoes for the first room they gave us on the first floor for a premier room. We asked to be moved to the third floor which was not bad for the view and no more mosquitoes. The problem with all the rooms were the toilets were stink. It could be the plumbing issues of the city. And there were no elevator so if you stay for a week you may not be able to carry your own suitcases up there. And the wifi did not work in the guestrooms. The hotel is located across from the beach so it is really convenient for both the beach and to catch the 20 bahts two rows buses to go to Central Chonburi or Lamthong Mall or Non Mon Market."

"I enjoy the service provided and staff hospitality. It offers what u expect from a 4-star hotel. Centrally-located and convenient to many attraction. Only problem is the protocol with the check in. With my three-night paid booking, I could not check in for the first night as planned due to accident. So I called the hotel directly to ask for the check in on the 2nd and 3rd nights instead without asking for refund or priviledge. While I accepted my liability for free charge on the first night, the friendly staff informed me that I must check in on my booking date or all my three-night reservations would be void. To check in for the two nights, I must sort out with agoda and even with early check in on the 2nd day as planned, there would not be a breakfast offered....though I paid the first night for free. I hope the hotel reviews its draconian protocol as I book a hotel, not an airplane ticket. "

"Stayed to play golf in Chonburi. Pattana golf excellent including driving range available all day. Hotel near to several good courses. One down side was that the booking with Agoda was for the 'Mansion House' (which is the other side of the golf course not near the other buildings) and not the main hotel complex (this was not made clear when I made the booking. I upgraded to the main hotel complex but it did cost me money!"

"Overall we had a very good stay at Le Casa Bang Saen. The pool is beautiful, complete with jacuzzi and there are some (half a dozen) chaise lounges. We were the only foreign ladies staying there that I saw, so there was not much competition to get to the chaise lounges. The pool was all one depth, so not exactly ideal for kids who cannot swim well, but with the proper floaty they will do well. Adults can stand in the pool, and really it is a glorious pool. The breakfast was, as already mentioned by other reviewers, average for a Westerner. However, it was a great spread for the Thais and they really seemed to enjoy it. There were eggs, ham, sausage (hot dogs), white or whole wheat Farmhouse bread for toasting with jam and a variety of Thai choices including rice. I've eaten much worse "Western Breakfasts" in Thailand so do not let the other breakfast reviews deter you from staying here. The other Western menu items we had were rather above par for a hotel in a very Thai area. Despite what others have said in their reviews, this hotel is walking distance from the beach. It does not take more than 20 minutes, which is average for folks who frequent the jersey shore or people who take public transport throughout Bangkok. If you enjoy walking (or need the exercise) and don't mind the heat, it's totally doable. I would suggest walking over driving as parking at the beach is crowded, especially in the late afternoon early evenings and weekends when the locals frequent the beach more regularly. Along the walk to the beach from the hotel you will find lots of little shops, restaurants, massage places, etc. The room was clean and surprisingly spacious (walk in closet and counter with sink outside of the bathroom) and the staff were rather helpful and friendly. I would stay at this hotel again. There were no loud parties/karaoke nearby and we could not hear the construction of the nearby new apartments/buildings being put up so it was quite for us."

"Got an email on the morning of check-in to contact the hotel when at Koh Loy Pier so that they can standby to pick us up from the pier when we arrive. The hotel was not too far away from the pier though and there are loads of food nearby within walking distance. Rental of motorcycle is possible from the hotel as well. Staff was nice and helpful. One of them could speak English really well too which was superrr helpful. Got the room with the sea view and it was really nice. The room was clean, bed comfortable. Nothing to complain about. Really great experience!!"

"This was a beautiful hotel situated in a busy area, but quiet inside. Clean, comfortable accomodations. Excellent 4 star hotel with off street parking. Nice soft bed (many in Thailand are very firm). Passing thru, only stayed 1 night."

"we enjoyed being at the Tamarina for the peace away from Bangkok. the gardens and pool are well laid out and beautiful. The only little problem is the staff have absolutely no knowledge of English..I did not really mind but some people may find that difficult. Breakfast is included, but no other meals are available and it is difficult to get to from the airport inBangkok..generally 1400 Thai Bhat for a taxi. Once there a haven and there are local restaurants inteh main road and a 7 Eleven for provisions. Very charming owner and teh staff are adorable even if they do not speak anything other than Thai or their mother tongue...Laos, Burma, Cambodia.... Do not expect the beach to be anything like the beaches of Southern Thailand...the water is brown and dirty..but the staff at teh Tamarina clean teh beach area each morning..the pool makes up for lack of beach and has the view of the bay and oyster beds."

"Somewhere Si Chang is a really cute and little boutique Hotel on the Island. Maybe the best place there! Hotel is brand new, everything very clean and tidy. The rooms are very nice decorated in maritime style and you ll have as far as I can judge in all rooms sea hew! The Staff is very polite, nice, friendly and helpful. They insisted to serve breakfast even the breakfast time had already been over when we got up. The pool and the pool-are very nice too. Maybe a little small if more than 4 guests are at that place. But we had it almost for ourselves on a weekday! They got a little nice garden in the backyard of the pool too. Cocktails we ordered to the pool. Staff acted a bit like we were the first persons who ordered cocktail ever (haha it has just opened the place), it took a while until we got them but they tasted phantastic too without any artificial flavors beside maybe the syrup you need for example a tequila sunrise. I am pretty sure we would come back if the island had a bit more to offer (like a nice beach). The biggest beach there is for locals only and ver very Thai. Sand is dirty too and smelly because of the street food kitchen restaurants there I dare! Another beach (hidden beach) of which we had a secret tip before was very dirty too and almost all of its sand has been robbed by some sand-robbing-container ship as locals told us. :( very sad. "

"Location is back a narrow soi but in the relative center of the tourist areas. Walking to the beach would take some time but doable....we saw bicycles chained up which I think are free for guests so that's nice. Some covered parking for cars and motorcycles. Likes: staff was kind and helpful, rooms were a good size, internet was strong and fast, big refrigerator, good aircon and the shower was somewhat isolated from the remainder of the bathroom. Dislikes: toilet sitting area small, hot water heater didn't work, the entry door to the room is a big sliding patio door with a cheap padlock and clasp and the rooms are sorta plain. Our one night stay was good. "
