WOW stay in W Hotel”
W Hotel is always my first prioirty choice, it is stylish and friendly stay there. Good location and nice room.

Location was ok, view was not great.”
Pool was small and cramp, view was not great. Landscape all died, no maintenance, and didn’t bother to remove them, unpleasant sight. The Lobby was empty in the late morning but we we told off from sitting at certain open sections of the lobby area, not the service spirit of “whatever-whenever”.

All about location”
W Guangzhou is super well located as it's within the CBD and close to shops and restaurants. However, from a stay to another the quality of services is declining. Ordering a drink at the bar can be complicated as only a few staff speaks English beyond "hello" and order for more than 1 person come separately as if each person ordered on their side.

it was my first stay at a W anywhere in the world and i can already get used to it... loving it.. nice posh, stylish design that unrivaled by any other hotels in the city.. probably the nearest international hotel in GZ, maybe next to MO at Taikoo Hui which is also newly opened.. it delivers what W has to promise... modern, state-of-the art design.. houses some trendy club and restaurants within... inside the room, it has the complete automatic-control furnishing/facilities.. ranging from bathtub, toilet, curtail, lighting... etc.. this bar shud be applied to all newly opened hotels across the industry... i would definitely recommend a stay if you can afford it... not a particularly pricy W compare to other major cities in the world...

It's not W standarts”
I booked non smoking room, but when we got our room I felt the bed smell. I informed staff about this but they told that room is not smoking. I don't know is that smell from smoking or another thing but it terrible. I asked change the room but they gave me air refreshener. Was late and we went to bed but I was terrible night. Next day I asked again to change my room. They provided the new one but when I moved I saw that sanitary was not clean enought. It's not W or 5 star hotel standarts.

Great hotel service”
The hotel decoration is as good as W's standard. Unluckily when we stayed, there are noise come from the construction site nearby hotel which stop at 10 pm and start at 6 am. Anyway, their staff is quite attentive when we ask to move to new room.

We arrive at noon, shinny and glamorous Lobby, not quiet big with usual luxury hotel but fill with attractive. Friendly female staff in the Front Desk, and fully accommodate my request upon check-in. The call services is quiet good, quick answer and gave us good guidance. Also, the amenities is quiet good for wedding anniversary celebration, we are really enjoy the night with rose petals. In-door pool is quiet well for a morning swim, good facilities but lack of services staff around locker room or the pool. It's fair for the cleaness, you may easy to find some spot on the carpet around the bed. All of all 瑕不遮瑜

Perfect but lost a human touch”
Check in was smooth. Room Stay, the hardware is very good, right after i get out of shower, someone opened the door and i was freaked out. Lucky i had my rope on. Made a reservation at the kitchen table for dinner with friends. Food was not bad. 65/100. I ask if i could charge the bill to my room, but i was told that becuase the amount is over the hotel deposit amount (rmb1000) i am ask to add more deposit at the lobby if i want to charge to my room. I could have done the payment at the restaurant, but i tested the service. Went down to the lobby, service was friendly, eye contact and genuine smile. She tried to explain that it is a policy. Last comment- bell and door were not friendly. Friend was having a smoke at the front door beside the bin. We were both well groomed. Bell boy looked at us unpleasantly for a few times. We quickly finish the smoke, walk back inside, no welcome, nothing. I would say its a funny W experience.

Disappointing for a 5 star hotel”
We have booked W hotel, hoping to give ourselves a nice 5 star treat for a short 1 night stay but the hotel fell short of our expectation. Whilst the hotel itself is very contemporary and stylish, it still feels like a very immature hotel and the services are rough around the edges. A few complaints we have were: 1. The surprisingly lack of English skills by the staff at the hotel. We had a supper at the hotel restaurant (The Kitchen Table). My husband has specifically asked if the clam chowder had any meat stock in it as he is meat intolerant and cannot eat meat. He had to ask a few times slowly and clearly to the waitress who replied saying no it doesn't have meat and took the order. Thankfully another waiter came back to pick this up, confirming the soup contains meat and asked if my husband would like to reorder. Had this not been picked up, my husband would have suffered from diarrhea all night. There were also a few times where we have asked for help on directions and transportation options, again the staff couldn't answer properly and they had to look for other staff who speaks better English to help. 2. The surprisingly lack of attention by the bar staff at the Woobar. We had to wave a few times to catch the attention of the bar staff to order our drinks. It was not busy at the time when we were there. The drinks also took awhile to come and they clearly did not pay attention to which drink they should make first. They made the easier drink (martini) first and had it sat around on the bar for 10 mins before they make the more complicated cocktail. The martini was not as cold as it should be by the time it arrived. 3. A strange, damp smell in the hotel room lobby and in the hotel room.

Compare to other W hotel, interior design is not so good. location is good, and the bed is very comfortable. staffs are a bit rude, they seemed confused with freidly welcoming and rudeness. expensive food, not that great taste.

Overall nice experience ! The design of the hotel is good and it is close to a street which have a lot of nice bars as well. it is with walking distance to the big park which a few more five star hotel located.
